Simpson Pavilion

Owner: City of Bend – Parks and Recreation
Location: Bend, OR
Budget: $9,087,863

The Simpson Pavilion is a state of the art outdoor rink complete with a ground cooling refrigerant system, complete ice hockey dasher boards, gates and team boxes with protective netting above the ice hockey rink.  The facility is covered with a 38,000 SF structural steel roof with wood ceiling finish. An Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) decorative façade covers a large portion of the south and west elevations of the structure to prevent UV rays from effecting the ice.

The facility included an 11,000 SF masonry, wood and light gauge framed building that houses administrative offices, a skate rental area, concessions, locker rooms a viewing room and equipment support for the ice rink. The support structure consists of both structural steel and exposed glulam wood beams. The $9.1 M project was completed in 13 months to meet the opening date of Christmas Eve, 2015, set by the owner. In order to accomplish this, the Pavilion, Support Building and site work were constructed simultaneously requiring cooperation from many subcontractors, the City of Bend and the owner.

Copiers Northwest

Owner: Base IV Properties
Location: Kennewick, WA
Budget: $1,620,333

The Copiers Northwest project included the buildout of a new two story commercial structure with over 11,000 sf of new showroom, shop, tenant space and storage facilities.   The multi-use facility allowed for Copiers Northwest to expand its Tri Cities operations while providing upscale office space for future tenants.  Apollo crews simultaneously completed the tenant space buildouts along with the initial core and shell construction schedule.

Grace City

Budget: $7.5 million

The Grace City Church Project was a design assist project delivery with a full subcontractor integration. This fast track design project included the buildout of an 14,000 square foot event center including full stage lighting and audio visual installation. The facility also included a 7,000 square feet of office and Grace Kids children's ministry facility with another 8,000 square feet of common area. Project coordination with the Grace City teams and parishioners helped make this project a huge success.
